I believe that a large part of our lives should be spent celebrating the little things & the people you love. Harry Truman agreed, "when people can get excited about the ordinary things in life, they live."

I saw more clearly than ever, that the first great and primary business to which I ought to attend every day, to have my soul happy in the Lord. The first thing to be concerned about was not, how much I might serve the Lord, how I might glorify the Lord; but how I might get my soul into a happy state, and how my inner man might be nourished. For I might seek to set the truth before the unconverted, I might seek to benefit believers, I might seek to behave myself as it becomes a child of God in this world; and yet, not being happy in the Lord, and not being nourished and strengthened in my inner man day by day, all this might not be attended to in a right spirit.

So if you’re looking for doe-eyes and floral dresses, then back away slowly, but if you’re interested in loving the mess, maybe getting a little caught up in my not-so-carefully planned life and love to laugh at yourself, then by all means, grab a first aid kit and leave your valuables behind and let’s go.

Great things are not accomplished by those who yield to trends and fads and popular opinion.

Because of the Lord’s GREAT LOVE we are NOT CONSUMED, for His compassions NEVER FAIL. They are new every morning; great is your FAITHFULNESS. I say to myself, the Lord is my portion, therefore I will wait for Him.

I know our culture will sometimes understand a love for Jesus as weakness. There is this lie floating around that says I am supposed to be able to do life alone, without any help, without stopping to worship something bigger than myself. But I actually believe there is something bigger than me, and I need for there to be something bigger than me. I need someone to put awe inside me; I need to come second to someone who has everything figured out.
